Vagn Villadsen was the left-wing mayor of Sundsøre municipality 1982-86.
Villadsen was trained in agriculture and spent most of his life farming on Fur, where he also extracted moler from his land. Originally, Villadsen was responsible for the production of piers himself, but later left the production to others. In the period 1968-1973, Villadsen was co-owner of Gammelgårdsteglværk, where the mill clay was used in production.
Villadsen sat on the municipal council in Sundsøre twice, the first time from 1970-78, after which he took a self-imposed break from local politics. He returned in 1982 when he was elected mayor of the municipality. As mayor, he was responsible for the creation of the large industrial area at Vestre Lyby, as well as the closure of Åstedskole as a municipal school.
Villadsen held a number of positions of trust and was on the board of KFUM Fur, where he also became chairman. Later, he was also on the board of the YMCA’s Skive district. For life on Fur, Villadsen also helped start the thrift store Lusangi.
Villadsen married Maria in 1946.
