SkiveDyk is a sports diving club based at Skive Søsportshavn. For the first many years, the club was called Sallingsund Sportsdykkerklub.
Founded on October 1, 1974 in Roslev in the then Sallingsund Municipality.
In 2008, a need arose to move out of the club’s former premises in Durup after the club’s rental agreement was terminated. The club sought to be based in Skive. The club received a donation from Skive Municipality to build a new clubhouse at Skive Søsportshavn, which was completed in June 2010. In the intervening years, the club had no fixed base and worked out of a container.
In connection with the promotion from Durup and the new clubhouse in Skive, Sallingsund Sports Diving Club changed its name to SkiveDyk.
In 2013, SkiveDyk helped to secure the opening of “Salling Dykkerpark” in “Salling Aqua Park” near Glyngøre. A tank and an old Swedish minesweeper are submerged at the park.
When the diving park opened on May 16, 2013, the park was inaugurated by the then Crown Prince Frederik.
