Skive Svane Apotek originally opened in Nørregade 22 in 1918. As the second pharmacy in Skive, it was known as Skive Ny Apotek, to distinguish it from Skive Gammel Apotek.
In 2015, the pharmacy moved from Nørregade 22 to Søndre Boulevard 7.
In addition to the main department, Svane Apoteket has operated Egeris Apotek and Apoteket i Nørregade.
From 2018, Skive Swan Pharmacy took over Stoholm Pharmacy as a branch after they could not find a new pharmacist.
