Per Jeppesen is the former Social Democratic mayor of Skive 2002-2007.
Jeppesen was born and raised in Brårup.
Jeppesen was first elected to Skive City Council for the Social Democrats in 1982. He later became the Social Democrats’ lead candidate and deputy mayor. Jeppesen was a big vote getter and received more than 40% of the votes cast in his election as mayor.
In 2002, Jeppesen was appointed mayor. During his time as mayor, the artwork Skive 11 Stars was inaugurated, which Jeppesen himself was most pleased with.
In 2011, Jeppesen was dismissed from his job as director of the KCL halls. Fraud had been committed to pay off a sexual harassment case. Jeppesen was convicted in court and chose to resign both from his position as deputy mayor and from his seat on the city council.
In 2017, Jeppesen returned to politics under the new party “Skive-listen” together with Knud Bjerre. They succeeded in being elected to Skive City Council again in the following election.
