Næstil(d) Skull

Næstild Skalle is a small area north of Green Lab close to where Næstildvej crosses Brovej. The name is known locally by older people and appears on maps from before 2010.

Næstild Skalle is probably a name derived from three earlier round mounds in the area. The name Skalle is probably derived from the three mounds in the area north of Green Lab. Skalle has meant bulge. The place name Næstild originates from older forms first known as Nestill in 1410, then as Nestildt around 1525.

In the top left corner of this map you can see a field called Skald Agre. There are three fields that are possibly the three round mounds. Skald Agre can therefore mean in modern language: Bulet Mark
