In 2022, Fredensgade 1 was decorated with a gable mural by Eske Touborg called Interfering, which illustrates SDG number 6: Clean water and sanitation.
Eske Touborg is a self-taught artist from Aarhus, Denmark, who graduated from Kaospiloterne in 2021. He has his roots in the graffiti scene and street art. He experiments with different media and forms of expression. He is represented at ARoS, has made several total decorations, in Aarhus several gable paintings.
Passers-by can scan a QR code via phone and see the work come to life with moving hands, rippling water and sounds. If the viewer moves with their phone, the 3-dimensional space will follow and provide a full optical illusion.
