Dronning Louisesvej 5, Skovdalen

The house called Skovdalen was built in the early 1900s – probably in 1908 – on a parcel that was subdivided from Krabbesholm Estate. Some of these parcels were built on in 1908, after Skive Municipality bought Krabbesholm and the associated forest from C. C. Kr. Rosen. The road was also named in 1908 and named after Queen Louise, who was married to King Frederik 8. The royal couple were visiting Skive that year. With the purchase by Skive Municipality, Krabbesholm was converted into a folk high school and the forest was opened to the public. Until then, access had only been open to members of the so-called forest association.
