Jens Jørn Justesen (1946-)

Jens Jørn Justesen is the former Liberal Party mayor of Sallingsund Municipality in the years 2002-2007.

Justesen was born and grew up on the family farm in Ilbjerg. Justesen took over the farm at the age of 22 after the death of his father.

Justesen was elected to the municipal council of Sallingsund Municipality for the Liberal Party in 1990, and sat on the municipal council until the municipal merger in 2007.

In 2002, Justesen was elected mayor of the municipality after Krogh Kristensen decided to retire. The years as mayor were marked by savings and improved finances in the municipality. As a special feather in his cap, Sallingsund Municipality was named City of the Year in 2004.

After the municipal merger, Justesen was elected to Skive City Council. He served for a period before deciding to quit local politics and devote himself to his business work at EnergiMidt.

Justesen was chairman of EnergiMidt for many years until 2016, when he retired. In addition to his work at EnergiMidt, Justesen is a member of the board of Limfjordens hus and manager of Glyngøre district heating.

He is married to Jette and has three children.
