Erik Krogh Kristensen is the former Liberal Party mayor of Sallingsund Municipality 1990-2001, and former headmaster of Hjerk-Harre School.
Krogh Kristensen was born on Mors and graduated as a teacher from Silkeborg Seminarium in 1965. After graduating, he was a teacher in Grindsted and Sædding. In 1969, Krogh Kristensen moved to Greenland, where he was a teacher and school inspector in Holsteinsborg and Egedesminde.
In 1976, Krog Kristensen moved back to Denmark. He became headmaster at Hjerk-Harre School and settled in Hestbek between Roslev and Selde. Krogh Kristensen continued as headmaster at the school until 1990.
In 1981, Krogh Kristensen was elected to the municipal council for Venstre in Sallingsund municipality. From the very beginning, Krogh Kristensen was in the running for mayor and in 1990 he was elected mayor of the municipality. As mayor, Krogh Kristensen was a driving force behind the establishment of Harre Vig Golf Course.
He served until 2001 when he chose to resign from the municipal council. He was then elected to the county council where he served from 2001-2006. Subsequently, Krogh Kristensen tried unsuccessfully to become a regional council member.
Krogh Kristensen has also held many positions of trust outside of politics, including the Resenlund Association, Det Jyske Ensemble, Skive Music School and the Support Association for Skive Museum.
