Johannes Ansgar Christian Laursen was born 25 Sep. 1895, Hvistendalhus, Resen Sogn, Skodborg Herred, Ringkøbing Amt, and son of Johannes Laursen and Ane Kirstine Pedersdatter.
Johannes married Ane Cathrine Møller, daughter of Jens Jensen Møller and Eleonora Christensen, on 12 Mar. 1920 in Sandager. Ane Cathrine Møller was born on 2 Nov. 1899 in Hellevad Sogn, Dronninglund Herred, Hjørring Amt and died on 23 Jul. 1957 in Skive.
He ran a photographer and photo shop in Brenderup, in the period 1916 – 1918 as manager and 1918 – 1923 as owner of the business, which was sold 15/6-1923.
He was one of the photographers who experienced that through the chief of police in Skive, permission had to be sought from the German occupation forces to be allowed to photograph in public places.
Many of Laursen’s items are in the photo museum in Herning
His son Ancher Laursen ran a photo shop in Thinggade 19, from 1950-1969.
