Flyndersø Mill is an old watermill located where Flyndersø once drained into Koholm Å.
The mill existed from at least 1463 until 1871 when it ceased to function as a mill.
The reason for the mill’s closure was the simultaneous attempt to drain Flyndersø to obtain land reclamation. At the same time, the Koholm river was diverted to run further north and the mill stream disappeared.
The farm was run as a farm for many years and the old privileges of the mill farm were maintained, such as the possibility of using the eel chest to catch eels when they went out into Koholm Å.
Since 1999, the building has been used as a museum of the Flyndersø area and the rakers who lived there. In 2019, the museum decided not to continue the exhibition and it was unclear what would happen to the building. In 2023 it was planned as the main entrance for “Flyndersø Mølle Naturparkcenter” a nature project around the lake.
