Christiansgade

Christiansgade is named after landowner Christian Tolstrup 1805-1882, who owned Hostrup Hovedgård in the Salling area between 1830 and 1855.

Garazim Mission House

Inner Mission chose Christiansgade as the location for their mission house in the city. The house was inaugurated in 1897 and expanded in 1920.

The mission house was there until 2015, when it was demolished to build a new mission house.

The house was declared worthy of preservation, so the demolition had to be approved by the municipality. It was described as a good example of the work of popular religious movements around 1900, and as one of Skive’s few remaining fine houses in Skivemidtby.
