She learned the art of photography in Flensburg and taught her fiancé, Niels Jepsen in the profession using, among other things, mirror photography techniques. She participated in the Diploma National Exhibition in Aarhus 1909 and became a member of the Danish Photographic Association in January 1896.
Successor:
Helene Jepsen had a studio in Svendborg with her son Gustav Jepsen Föge (name changed in 1906 to “Jepsen & Son”). He had been apprenticed to Otto Nørmark in Odense. Until 1974 he was a photo dealer in Svendborg.
She was married to photographer Niels Jepsen (1856-1894), in Skive. They had a studio together in Skive from 1881 until his death in 1894, after which she continued the studio until 1908. She then spent two years in Hovedgård and then ten years in Svendborg, Møllergade 31, where her son also came into the picture.
