Idé-Pro at Skyttevej 15 has been working with plastic molding since the start in 1994.
The early start
Idé-Pro was started as an engineering and trading company in 1994 by brothers Tommy Nors and Morten Nors in their attic at Frederiksdal Allé in Skive.
The company produces injection molded prototypes in plastic and light metal for a wide range of companies in Denmark and abroad.
In addition to prototypes, the production of injection molded products in smaller series also accounts for a significant part of the company’s turnover. It is the great flexibility in production that makes Idé-Pro competitive in small series production.
In the following 2 decades, the company gradually grew. Milling machines and plastic molding machines were purchased for the premises first on Nordhavnsvej, then for a warehouse on Krabbesholm Allé in Skive.
Subsidiary in India
In 2004, a subsidiary and design department Idé-Pro Engineering Asia Pvt. Ltd. was established in Bangalore, India where highly qualified engineers could be hired.
Temponik A/S taken over
In 2009, Idé-Pro took over all activities in Temponik A/S, Rævevej, Skive and founded the subsidiary Temponik Skive A/S.
Temponik was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of the die casting company Metallic A/S, when several customers were looking for the opportunity to test prototypes of their newly designed items before the final die casting tool was constructed and placed on order.
Initially, production concentrated on aluminum and zinc die-casting, but soon after, the first magnesium castings were introduced.
In 1999, Jan Brinch-Møller took over the company.
Expansion
Idé-Pro was growing steadily. Eventually, there were around 100 employees in Skive and there were premises on several sites. They had production in two locations at the port in Skive and activities in Oddense. After the acquisition of Temponik A/S in Skive and the bankrupt Svend Andersen Værktøj in Kvosted near Løgstrup, there was a need to consolidate activities.
In 2011, Idé-Pro gathered tool production, plastic molding, EPS production and administration in Sanistål’s former buildings on Skyttevej in Skive, with subsequent expansions to a total area of approx. 12,000 m².
At Idé-Pro Engineering Asia Pvt. Ltd. moved to a larger location and established production of selected tools in 2014.
Expansion continued in the following decade. In 2019, a sales office was established in Sweden. In 2020, Idé-Pro reached 200 employees. 150 of the employees were in Skive, Glyngøre and the sales office in Sweden, and 50 in Bangalore, India.
In 2021, the premises in Skive spread over almost 20,000 square meters with an additional 12,000 m2 in Glyngøre.
The production
Just over a third of production goes to local companies via our own distribution and daily deliveries of products in light metal, foam and other plastics. About half of the production is exported, primarily to EU countries. Idé-Pro also has a few deliveries to the Far East, typically when European customers move their production to the Asian region. Sweden and Germany are still the largest foreign markets.
Our prices
Over the years, Idé-Pro has received great recognition for their industrial adventure in the form of numerous awards.
