Hans Frederik Christian Julius Lauritzen (1835-1883)

H. Fr. Chr. Jul. Lauritzen was royally appointed mayor of Skive 1877-1883.

Lauritzen was born in Copenhagen. In 1853 he graduated from the Metropolitan School, and in 1859 he graduated in law.

After graduation, Lauritzen was employed as an assistant in the Ministry of the Duchy of Schleswig. In 1866 he was clerk in the criminal court in Copenhagen.

In 1877, Lauritzen was appointed Mayor, Town Bailiff and Town Clerk in Skive as well as County Bailiff and Clerk in the Sallingland lordships.

Lauritzen died in Skive in 1883, where he was succeeded as mayor by Christopher Krabbe.
