Borup Jensen or “Borup Jensen Boligtextil” was a manufacturer in Skive, first on Adelgade and later on Frederiksgade.
Borup Jensen was founded by Harry Borup Jensen in Olesens Gård on Adelgade 1. The store opened its doors on August 6, 1937. The store survived the shortage of goods during the war and remained at the same address until 1967/8. In connection with the demolition of Olesens Gård, the store moved to Frederiksgade 3.
In 1979, Harry Borup Jensen retired and left the store to his son Erik. Erik continues to run the store. In 1997, however, there was a fire in the store’s warehouse, in connection with the remodeling there is a discontinuation sale, and although they assure that the store will not close, it seems to have ceased in the same connection. In 1999, the store opens Skive Leather at Frederiksgade 3.
